Thanks for a great run!

Mayor Karl Dean officially started the Richland Creek Run/Walk shortly after 8 a.m. outside of the Cohn Adult Learning Center on April 4, 2009. More than 500 people participated.

The overall male winners were Patrick Cooper (28:43), John Ramsey (29:27) and Eric Bilbrey (30:36). The overall female winners were Dorothy Gach (30:54), Tonya Lumphrey (32:18) and Andrea Hall (34:07).

About the Third-annual Richland Creek Run/Walk

The Richland Creek Run/Walk carried participants along a five-mile timed and measured course through sections of the Richland Creek Greenway and Sylvan Park on Saturday, April 4, 2009. Net proceeds from this event benefit Greenways for Nashville, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the creation, protection, preservation, and promotion of Nashville greenways.

The run began at 8 a.m. outside of the Cohn Adult Learning Center, 4805 Park Avenue, and wound through parts of Sylvan Park neighborhood before heading onto the Richland Creek Greenway and finishing back at Cohn. The walk began at 8:15 a.m. at the same location and followed the same course.
