More than 320 participants took part in the Second Annual Richland Creek Run. Chris Demitra and Tonya Lumphrey crossed the finish line first overall, respectively, for the men and the women. Here are the full results.

The second-annual Richland Creek Run presented by Dunn Chiropractic Clinic will take participants along a five-mile timed and measured course through sections of the Richland Creek Greenway and Sylvan Park on Saturday, April 5, 2008. Net proceeds from this event will benefit Greenways for Nashville, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the creation, protection, preservation, and promotion of Nashville greenways. The race will begin at 8:00 a.m. outside of the Cohn Adult Learning Center, 4805 Park Avenue, and will wind through parts of Sylvan Park neighborhood before heading onto the Richland Creek Greenway and finishing back at Cohn. This year’s course will encompass even more of the greenway than last year.
The title sponsor of the race is Dunn Chiropractic Clinic. Saint Thomas Hospital, The Wilson Group, Montgomery Bell Academy and Vanderbilt University are other primary sponsors. The event is being organized and co-sponsored by the Sylvan Park, Cherokee Park, Richland-West End and White Bridge Neighborhood Associations. The race’s media sponsors are the Nashville Scene, Lightning 100, and Team Green. Other sponsors include Hampton Inn Elliston Place, Sport Seasons, and several local businesses in the area.
The Richland Creek Run is one of the few five-mile events in the middle Tennessee area. The run will be an excellent pre-Country Music Marathon training event. Both runners and walkers are welcome.
Runners and walkers are welcome for the run. Please do not bring pets, strollers, bikes or skates if you are participating in the race.
