THANKS for a great run!

The Richland Creek Run X began at 8 a.m. at the Cohn Adult Learning Center on April 2, 2016. More than 500 people registered for the event.

The preliminary overall and age group results are now available. Chris Demetra (27:36) and Caroline Grunenwald (30:46) led the way, respectively, for the male and female runners. If you placed first, second or third in your age group but did not pick up your award at the ceremony on race day, call the Metro Parks office at (615) 862-8400 to claim your prize.

Thanks to all the participants, volunteers and sponsors who made the Richland Creek Run a great success. Mark your calendars for April 1, 2017, for Richland Creek Run XI. See you there!

About the Richland Creek Run

The Richland Creek Run & Walk X will carry participants along a certified five-mile course through sections of the Richland Creek Greenway and Sylvan Park on Saturday, April 2, 2016. Net proceeds from this event benefit Greenways for Nashville, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the creation, protection, preservation, and promotion of Nashville greenways.

The Run will begin at 8 a.m. outside of the Cohn Adult Learning Center, 4805 Park Avenue, and wind through parts of Sylvan Park before heading onto the Richland Creek Greenway and finishing back at Cohn. The Walk will begin at 8:05 a.m. at the same location and follow the same course. Please note: Dogs and strollers are permitted during the race. The race will be held rain or shine. No refunds will be issued.

The Course

This year’s course has been updated (and re-certified) because of ongoing construction on neighborhood streets. Take a look at the new route, which features more time on the greenway.
