The Richland Creek Run & Walk VI will carry participants along a five-mile certified course through sections of the Richland Creek Greenway and Sylvan Park on Saturday, April 7, 2012. Net proceeds from this event benefit Greenways for Nashville, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the creation, protection, preservation, and promotion of Nashville greenways.

The Run will begin at 8 a.m. outside of the Cohn Adult Learning Center, 4805 Park Avenue, and wind through parts of Sylvan Park before heading onto the Richland Creek Greenway and finishing back at Cohn. The Walk will begin at 8:05 a.m. at the same location and follow the same course.

As in prior years, packet pickup for participants who pre-register will be available on Friday, April 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sport Seasons (56 White Bridge Road).

The Richland Creek Run & Walk course has been reconfigured to complete a loop on the Richland Creek Greenway and has been certified as a five-miler. The race starts and finishes at its traditional location at the Cohn school at the corner of Park Avenue and 48th Avenue North. The inaugural Kids Race will also start at Cohn and follow 48th Avenue to Wyoming Avenue before returning to Cohn.
